The largest BMW X model has planned to be introduced with the massive six-cylinder petrol engines in three different types of powertrains. BMW says that there would be two diesel engines and one petrol engine used in the new X7 model lineup for the 2019 model year. All of these engines would be six-cylinder inline units. BMW has previously standardized its entire engine lineup by making standard on every cylinder size in its engines. A few years back, BMW has announced to standardize its engines on the bases of similar cylinder displacement on all cylinders in an engine. Every cylinder would be 500cc in size. So the four-cylinder engines would be 2000cc or 2.0 litre and six-cylinder engines would be 3000cc or 3.0 litre.

New X7 6-cylinder engines

New BMW 6 cylinder inline engines would be used to lead the models including BMW x7 xDrive40i petrol and xDrive30d diesel engines. However, the performance division of BMW has also announced to use the engine in its M50d models with M performance treatment. According to the German automaker. All the newly developed all the new engines would be coupled with the new Steptronic transmissions. And all these units come with the turbochargers to oomph the power even more. All the BMW six cylinder engines have an excellent performance track and efficiency with the wider gear ratios on the Steptronic transmissions.

BMW xDrive30d engines

The BMW xDrive30d engines are actually powerful engines with a power output range of 256hp and a hefty torque of 620Nm. All this power band makes the xDrive30d a powerful vehicle on the road. It takes only 7 seconds to reach the benchmark speed of 62 miles per hour from a standstill. It would do the top speed of 140 miles per hour. The BMW hasn’t officially announced any fuel economy stats for the new engine. But it is confirmed that the engine would return excellent fuel economy.

BMW M50d M Performance engines

BMW M Performance division has stated that the new engine with the M treatment would produce 450hp and push the X7 with a hefty torque of 750Nm. The M50d engines would take only 5.4 seconds to reach the 62 miles per hour from a standstill. And the massive torque would keep pushing the package till the top speed of 150 miles per hour. The fuel economy is yet to announce on this engine as well and according to the internal sources, this model would get the M Performance package for extra refined performance and luxury.

BMW xDrive40i engine

The final six-cylinder engine would come in the BMW xDrive40i models. And this engine would generate 340hp of power and a hefty torque of 450Nm. Which is more than enough to push the package on the road with extreme power. The xDrive40i model comes with a top speed of 140 miles per hour. According to the initial testing and unofficial figures, the xDrive40i would do 62 miles per hour in 6.1 seconds from a standstill.

BMW X7 interior and styling

According to many viewers, BMW X7 doesn’t have a massive presence on the road. The grille is gigantic, has high ride height and bigger wheels. The wheels are more than 22 inches in size and the X7 is a great SUV. And all the models come with the LED headlights. And BMW’s special laser lights with a range of more than 600 meters on the road. But unluckily, these lights are optional and can be added with some extra money. The windows have chrome surrounds and the roof rails are also chrome running and acquired the styling from BMW 7 series. The full range of front seats is electrically adjustable and comes as standard. And both driver and passenger side seats are heated. The interior uses the Ivory White leather tone and midnight Blue with a selection of the wooden trims.
